I had the requirement that the whole system should be powered by a 12-24V power source, so I would need to step down from 12-24 down to 5V and then use a linear regulator to drop the voltage down to 3.3V, which is the ESP8266 supply voltage. For that I used the Step Down Converter IC HT7463B and then the Linear Regulator SPX3819.

For the Stepper Motor driver I chose the TMC2208 for the silent STEALTCHOP capabilities and the option to configure its settings through UART.
